Munich Fabric Start brings forward its next edition. The German biannual fashion trade fair has brought forward the dates of its September edition, now rescheduled from July 21st to 23th, 2026, with the aim of setting a stable date at the beginning of the seventh month of the year for the following editions.

The trade fair has once again modified the dates for its next edition, “The dynamics of the market require flexible and forward-looking planning,“ said Florian Klinder, managing director of Munich Fabric Start Exhibitions GmbH. The organization’s intention is to set a stable date at the beginning of July from 2027.

The show, which normally holds its editions in January and September, has previously explored this modality. For its 2023 edition, the organization set the new dates from July 18th to 20th.

The global calendar of fashion fairs is in full readjustment, marked by the idea of exploring new dates to find a better slot that fits the needs of the sector. The latest modification was that of the Madrid fashion, footwear and accessories fair, Momad, which has rescheduled its September edition to be held from July 23th to 25th next year, a change of agenda marked by the arrival of Formula 1 at Ifema.

Beyond the professional fairs, the fashion weeks are also in full evolution of its model with a new distribution of its dates, as the recent case of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, which announced this week its project to advance its celebration from October to June from next year.

Gran Canaria Swim Week also took a turn in the agenda of professional events, changing its date of celebration to June from 2026. Until now, the catwalk was held in October, showing the collections for the following summer.
