Shein is making its presence felt in Europe. The Chinese company has carried out the opening of a new logistics warehouse in Warsaw, which has a surface area of 8,000,000 square feet and increases to 5,000 the number of jobs generated in the country. “Warsaw, in particular, has been a strategic base for our European logistics since 2022,“ Leonard Lin, president of Shein in the Emea region, said in a statement.

The new logistics hub features state-of-the-art robotic picking systems and automated sorting lines that enable faster workflow, the company said.

The warehouse will support the more than 170 SMEs that Shein partners with in the region, in areas of transportation, packaging and professional services. “The new logistics center will also support Polish and European brands and retailers in the marketplace,“ Shein said.

Coinciding with its European physical deployment, which began in France, Shein managed to emerge victorious from the first battle in its war against the French government a few days ago, when the Paris judicial court rejected the institution’s request to suspend Shein’s website for at least three months.

In October 2025, the announcement of Shein’s installation in the heart of the BHV Marais department store unleashed a media and citizen storm. Its arrival has functioned as a symbol of an ultra fast fashion that clashes with French discourse of sobriety, traceability and social justice.

In parallel, the platform has accumulated regulatory fronts. In July, the Dgccrf announced a penalty of €40 million for misleading commercial practices linked to discounts and environmental claims.
