LVMH continues to suffer the onslaught of hackers. Ten days ago it was in South Korea, then in Japan, and now in Hong Kong with a leak that has affected 419,000 customers, according to Reuters news agency.

The data in the leaks included names, passport details, addresses and email addresses, as well as phone numbers, purchase history and product preferences, according to the Hong Kong watchdog.

LVMH reported the cyberattack last week after its French headquarters detected abnormal activity on its computer system, affecting customers in Hong Kong.

The office is now investigating whether the leak is due to late notification. So far, no complaints or “relevant” queries have reportedly been received from affected customers. This is the fourth attack the luxury group has faced in recent months. In Korea, the victim was Christian Dior.

Last month, it was The North Face and Cartier, owned by Swiss luxury group Richemont, that alerted their customers to computer incidents on their platforms. Both companies follow Victoria’s Secret, Dior, Harrods and Marks&Spencer.
