Loewe reinforces its flagship store strategy with the opening of Casa Loewe Ginza, its largest store in Japan and the second largest in the world. The new space, with four floors and around 9,000 square feet of floor space, is located in Tokyo’s Ginza district, on a corner recognizable by its earthy green ceramic tile façade.

The official opening follows a soft opening that took place last month and is accompanied by a schedule of activations starting this Friday. The brand has lined up a short film linked to the neighborhood, a city guide, a selection of special products and a local event.

Casa Loewe Ginza is part of the Casa format, the concept of Loewe flagships conceived as spaces that mix fashion, accessories, art, objects and craftsmanship. The brand positions these stores as the first points in its network to receive new collections, capsules and limited editions.

The company has been present in Japan since 1973, when it opened its first boutique outside Europe. In the country, Loewe operates through 45 stores and 3 outlets.

This latest Ginza opening is part of the rollout of the Casa format on an international scale. The Spanish house plans to open a second Casa in Paris, on Rue Saint-Honoré, in 2026, and to add new flagship stores in New York and Milan.

The audiovisual campaign, directed by filmmaker Xavier Tera, focuses on Ginza and its changing identity. The cast is multi-generational and includes artist Junko Asano, actress Arisa Nakano, Hisao Mitani with his turtle and Yukiko Kashiwagi, wife of Kyu Sakamoto.

In product, the store kicks off with references such as a Hammock bag and customized garments with cherry blossom motifs by Kyoto ceramics studio Suna Fujita. The store will also host a pre-launch of the brand’s latest collection with Suna Fujita.

In parallel, the city guide brings together a selection of stores and provides architectural and artistic clues about Casa Loewe Ginza. Some stores in the neighborhood, such as the Morioka Shoten bookstore and the Nakamura Katsuji printing store, will distribute copies.

Loewe is one of the luxury brands belonging to the LVMH group’s portfolio. LVMH ended the first nine months of 2025 with sales of 58.09 billion euros, 4% less than in the same period last year and an organic decline of 2%, after posting a 1% increase in the third quarter driven by the improvement in Asia and the pull of Sephora. The fashion and leather goods division limited the decline to 2% organic in the quarter and reached 27,611 million euros in the first nine months of the year.
