Mango Strengthens NYC Presence with New Upper West Side Location
Since its 2006 entry, the Spanish fashion distributor has seen the U.S. become its strongest online market, prompting an aggressive expansion push across the region.
Mango is growing in New York with its fourth store, located at 1967 Broadway, in the heart of Manhattan’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. The opening is part of a broader expansion strategy in the U.S. market, one of its top five markets, which is already the strongest in terms of sales in the digital channel.
The new opening joins Mango’s existing stores on Fifth Avenue; on Broadway in Soho; and at Hudson Yards. According to the company’s director of expansion and franchising, Daniel Lopez, the store comes at a time when the U.S. market is experiencing “solid growth.“
The store has an approximate area of 800 square meters and will offer both women’s and men’s collections. It will feature the Mediterranean-inspired New Med concept, with warm tones and neutral colors combined with “traditional, handcrafted and natural” materials.
Mango’s U.S. expansion plan began in 2022, with the opening of its flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue. By the end of the year, the company will have launched around 65 stores in the country, where it has been present since 2006. The U.S. is currently one of Mango’s top five markets and its largest online market. By 2026, the company expects the country to become one of the group’s top three markets in terms of revenue.

This year, the company plans to increase its presence in the country with around twenty stores. Mango has opened for the first time in Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Connecticut and Washington. In addition, the company will soon open new stores in Ohio and will expand its presence in California, with a special focus on the San Francisco area.
During the first phase of the expansion plan, Mango expanded its presence in New York, in and around Manhattan. It then focused on the state of Florida, with the opening of two stores in Miami and one in Orlando. In 2023, the company went after the west coast and the south of the country, with openings in California, Texas and Georgia. Last year it reached 40 company-owned stores in the country, in new locations such as Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Washington, and with a strengthened presence in California, specifically in San Diego, and in New York, with the opening of Hudson Yards.
According to the latest published data, Mango closed the first six months of its 2025 fiscal year with sales of €1.72 billion, 12% more than in the first half of 2024. Last year, its last full fiscal year, Mango had a turnover of €3.33 billion and a net profit of €172 million.
