Hudon’s Bay restructures its leadership: president exits the company

Hudson’s Bay reorganizes its management. The Canadian department store group, owner of Saks Fifth Avenue, confirmed the departure of its president, Alison Coville, whose exit will be effective on March 1.
Coville’s departure takes place one week after Hudson’s Bay announced the closure of 37 of its Home Outfitters and 20 of its Saks Fifth Avenue stores, as part of a resizing plan of its network of stores.
Coville joined Hudson’s Bay in 1999 and since then has held several positions of responsibility. In 2007, the executive was promoted to the presidency to lead a new stage of the group and boost the chain Home Outfitters. The company has already started looking for Coville’s replacement.
The Canadian company closed 2017 with a revenue of 14.34 billion Canadian dollars (9.47 billion euros), 0.7% more, and losses of 581 million dollars (385 million euros).
