Spanish Brand Alohas Expands to the UK Market with London Flagship
Spanish footwear company steps into the UK with its first standalone store in Soho, London, as previously reported by Modaes. This opening follows its recent launches in Amsterdam and New York.
Alohas opens its doors in London. The Spanish footwear company is accelerating its international expansion strategy with its first store in the United Kingdom, as it announced to Modaes in early September. Located at 45 Beak Street, the new store joins its latest openings in Paris, Amsterdam and New York.
The brand’s first physical store lands in Carnaby, in London’s Soho district, an artery where brands such as the Danish Samsoe Samsoe, the optical specialist Moscot or cosmetics firms Le Labo, Lush Cosmetics or Aesop have already established themselves. More recently, the British group Asos has made the leap to retail with an establishment located at 7 Carnaby Street.
The new store continues the company’s on-demand production, which will feature samples of each design for consumers to try before placing their order. A small stock of best-selling products will be available in-store for immediate purchase.
Alohas posted a record turnover of €34 million in 2024, reaching 95% of sales from the online channel outside the country
Alohas set up shop at 75 rue Vieille du Temple, in the Parisian district of Le Marais, at the beginning of September. Until now, the brand had operated an ephemeral store to test market results at 120 rue Vieille du Temple.
In May, the company led by entrepreneur Alejandro Porras raised the shutter on its first own stores at 21 Runstrat Street in Amsterdam, occupying an area of 110 square meters in the Negen Straatjes shopping district.
At the same time, Alohas opened its first single-brand store in the United States at 260 Elizabeth Street, in the New York neighborhood of Nolita, just a few minutes from the popular Soho, one of the busiest areas of the city.
The company, which is also evaluating its landing in other “key cities” such as London, Berlin and Lisbon, recorded last year 95% of sales in the online channel outside Spain, reaching a record turnover of €34 million.
