The Italian fashion powerhouse has joined forces with the Latin American music icon for a limited collection. Comprising twelve pieces, the collection channels the essence of her newest album, designed by the brand’s visionary, Glenn Martens.

Diesel teams up with the reggaeton pop icon. The Italian luxury fashion company has launched a twelve-piece collection in collaboration with singer Karol G. Inspired by her Tropicoqueta album and designed by Glenn Martens, the capsule includes ready-to-wear garments, jeans, swimwear and accessories.

Lotus and coconut flower prints and vibrant orange wrap the garments designed by the brand’s creative director for this collection with Latin American artist Karol G, which features garments such as a metallic bikini, a floral print T-shirt and even accessories such as hats, sunglasses and a Double-D bag designed by the Colombian singer herself. The proposal is available with a price range that goes from $175 for a cap to $495 for a jacket.

“Diesel represents everything that Tropicoqueta is all about: freedom, self-realization and stepping out of the comfort zone,“ the artist explained about the collection. “I’ve been admiring the brand for a long time, so it seemed like the perfect time to bring the new disco world into the fashion universe by their hand,“ she added.

Diesel has already collaborated with other artists such as Rihanna, with its Diesel x Savage x Fendy collection, in alliance with the singer’s lingerie brand. In October 2024, this limited capsule collection was launched with 34 pieces such as lingerie, bikinis and sleepwear for men and women. Also Italian singer Damiano David, lead singer of Måneskin, collaborated in May 2024 with the Italian brand on a genderless collection featuring jersey tops, baggy pants and oversized suits, in line with the artist’s personal style.

The new collection with Karol G is available at selected points of sale of the brand, such as Harbour City (in Hong Kong), Venetian (Macau), and ION Orchard (Singapore), as well as on its website.

Diesel is part of the OTB Group, along with brands such as Jil Sander, Maison Margiela, Marni and Viktor&Rolf. In the past financial year, the company reduced its overall turnover by 5% to 1.7 billion euros. Gross operating profit (ebitda), meanwhile, stood at 275.8 million euros, down 20% on the previous year’s 347.6 million euros.

The brand founded in 1978 by Renzo Rosso and Adriano Goldschmied, has established itself as a denim and lifestyle brand and has, since 2020, the creative direction of Glenn Martens, who was in charge of the same position at Maison Margiela since 2014. Last October saw the launch of a collaboration between the creative and the Swedish group H&M.
