Zalando reconfigures its management structure. Anna Dimitrova will take over as CFO of the German company and will join the board of directors as of January 1st, 2026 as part of its Europe-wide growth strategy to build a “fashion ecommerce ecosystem in B2C and B2B.“

Anna Dimitrova will take over from David Schröder, who has served as interim CFO since March and will now resume his duties as co-CEO. Schröder took over as CFO following the departure of Sandra Dembeck, who held the position from 2022 until February this year.

This new addition comes as part of the ecommerce giant’s strategy to build a “pan-European fashion and lifestyle ecommerce ecosystem in B2C and B2B, to deepen relationships with customers and partners,“ which is why it completed the purchase of About You in the middle of this year.

The company increased its global sales by 7.6% in the first half of the current fiscal year, to €5,254 million, and increased its net profit by 22%, to €106.5 million.

The group expects to close the 2025 financial year with sales of between €12.1 billion and €12.4 billion and adjusted ebit of up to €600 million, driven by efficiency and the full integration of About You.
