Naf Naf Seeks Buyers for Its Store Network in Spain, Italy, and Belgium
The French women’s fashion company is looking for interested parties for its 144 points of sale in three European markets, following its takeover by Beaumanoir last August. In Spain, the group has four stores.
The women’s ready-to-wear company Naf Naf is looking for buyers for its 144 points of sale in Spain, Italy and Belgium after its takeover last August by the French fashion distribution group Beaumanoir, according to Fashion Network. Naf Naf had been in bankruptcy proceedings since May.
Following the group’s acquisition by Beaumanoir, the company’s liquidation process was initiated, so 144 Naf Naf points of sale distributed in the Spanish, Italian and Belgian markets are now in search of a buyer.
In Spain, the company has four stores of its own, located in Burgos, Pamplona, Cádiz and Almería, as well as in corners of El Corte Inglés.
Naf Naf, which entered into insolvency proceedings in 2023, filed for insolvency again last May.
Naf Naf has been part, since last August, of the Beumanoir group’ s brand portfolio , through an operation for which the figure was not disclosed and which also absorbed around 300 employees, out of the total of 600 workers that the company had, and a dozen stores, of the brand’s entire commercial network of 102 stores.
The acquisition of Naf Naf thus put an end to the insolvency proceedings filed at the end of May. The women’s fashion brand, until now owned by the Turkish textile group Migiboy Tekstil, had been experiencing liquidity problems since the pandemic, especially related to non-payment of rents.
In less than ten years, the company has changed hands four times, a reflection of the instability of the fashion industry in France, most recently in 2023, when the company was also in bankruptcy proceedings, which led to the entry of Migiboy Tekstil.
