Lefties Debuts in Home Appliances with Create, Taking a Cue from Zara Home

In a move echoing Zara’s strategy, the low-cost division of Inditex is bolstering its home line, introduced earlier this year, as part of a broader repositioning effort.

Lefties enters the world of home appliances. Just as Inditex’s flagship Zara did, the low-cost chain of the Spanish fashion distribution group is exploring this new category as part of its recently launched Lefties Home proposal. If Zara did it with Smeg, Lefties is now betting on a Spanish brand, Create.

The collaboration between Lefties and Create includes a toaster, a kettle, a multi-capsule coffee maker, a milk frother, an Italian coffee maker and a record player, all in black and white tones. It will be available through the Lefties online store and in nine locations, all in Spain.

Lefties began a repositioning process last year to find its place within the new Inditex, which also aspires to a higher position, with Zara as the main exponent of the change. The chain has renewed its management team, diversified with the launch of Lefties Home and is preparing to expand into major European markets next year.

With this new collaboration, the Inditex group chain seeks to follow in the footsteps of Zara, which has maintained since 2019 a collaboration with Smeg to nurture its offer in Zara Home. The difference is that Zara Home seeks with Smeg a higher line of products, unlike Lefties, which intends to maintain its recognized reduced rate.

According to the latest published data, Lefties shot up in size in its last fiscal year, which ended in January 2025, with a turnover of €644.81 million. This is equivalent to a growth of 17.44% over the previous year, when it posted revenues of €549.04 million.

Create was born in 2019 from the hand of Luis Monserrate and Pedro Salazar, with backgrounds in both fashion and e-commerce, and experience in companies such as Alibaba, Pepe Jeans or the Inditex group itself. In 2023, the company achieved a turnover of €63 million, 24% more than the previous year.

Headquartered in Madrid and with a logistics center in Valencia, the home appliance company has a presence in more than ten countries through different marketing channels, mainly digital. It also has a permanent store in Madrid and has exceeded 25 million orders.
