Kiabi diversifies. The French low-cost fashion company controlled by the Mulliez family is moving forward in its expansion strategy with the launch of its children’s footwear brand, under the name Kitchoun. In 2024, the group also launched a home line in online format.

This initiative is part of a diversification plan focused on developing specialized brand universes that connect with the rhythms and lifestyles of today’s families.

With Kitchoun, the company continues its transformation towards a platform of complementary brands. The official launch of this children’s footwear line is part of a simultaneous international rollout in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Portugal, as well as on its website.

Kiabi Home began to take steps last year only online. The proposal was launched last July at the French company’s store in the Islazul shopping center in Madrid.

Kiabi Home went on the market with an offer consisting of storage accessories, decoration, bedding and pet products, as well as specific collections for spaces such as bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. In its first experience in the physical channel, it is presented in the form of a corner in an establishment that has all the other collections.

In Spain, the French company has a network of 73 stores, while in Portugal, where it arrived in 2010, it has 13 stores. The group ended 2024 with a global turnover of €2.3 billion, an increase of 5% compared to 2023.
