Leadership Overhaul: Givaudan Names New CEO, Sets 2030 Vision
The Swiss giant has unveiled changes at the top: Gilles Andrier steps down as CEO, with Christian Stammkoetter, formerly of Danone, taking the helm. Andrier is poised to succeed Calvin Grieder as Chairman of the Board.
Givaudan shakes up its management team. The fragrances and flavors group has announced changes in its top management for the coming year, on the occasion of the retirement of its CEO since 2005, Gilles Andrier, who will be replaced by Danone’s president for Asia, Middle East and Africa, Christian Stammkoetter. In addition, it has also made public its strategic objectives for 2030.
Gilles Andrier, the group’s CEO, is taking his leave after thirty years with the company, and Christian Stammkoetter, until now Danone’s president for Asia, Middle East and Africa since 2022, will take over. The official change will take effect on March 1st, 2026.
The chairman of the board of directors, Calvin Grieder, will also step down after 12 years with the company. The board of directors will nominate Andrier to succeed Grieder as chairman.
Givaudan forecasts sales growth of up to 6%
Givaudan has unveiled in a statement its strategic plan for the next five years, which includes the company’s sustainable growth, focused on increasing the quality and service life of its products.
In terms of its financial targets, the company expects to grow between 4% and 6% in sales. To this end, Givaudan plans to intensify its geographic presence and expand its product and material categories.
The group, one of the world’s largest producers of fragrances and fragrances, closed the first half of the year with sales of 3.8 billion Swiss francs ($4.7 billion), an increase of 3.4% over the same period of the previous year. At constant exchange rates and excluding acquisitions, the increase was 6.3%, according to the Geneva-based company.
