Copenhagen strengthens its position as the creative capital of Northern Europe. Copenhagen Fashion Week (Cphfw) and Ciff (Copenhagen International Fashion Fair) have sealed a long-standing strategic alliance to jointly support the development of emerging Scandinavian brands. The agreement revolves around the Cphfw Newtalent program, created to give visibility, structure and professional support to the most promising designers in the Nordic region.

The program, launched by the Copenhagen Fashion Week organization, seeks to consolidate the careers of young creators through a combination of cultural support, mentoring, showroom and commercial strategy. With this alliance, Ciff becomes an official patron of the project and will offer the selected brands a dedicated space during the fair, which is held in parallel to fashion week, as well as a permanent showroom in the Ciff Village, beyond the seasonality of the fashion shows.

"Our goal with Cphfw Newtalent has always been to build a platform that not only gives visibility to new voices, but also accompanies their long-term development, so this collaboration with Ciff is a natural step in our mission," explained Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week. The executive defended the importance of aligning cultural impact with commercial opportunities "at a decisive moment in the growth of these brands".

The alliance not only formalizes a collaboration that had already been developing informally since previous seasons, but also responds to a logic of complementarity. While Copenhagen Fashion Week focuses on the fashion show calendar, the media showcase and the institutional boost to designers, Ciff brings the commercial and professional dimension with a fair that brings together more than 1,000 brands twice a year at the Bella Center, on the outskirts of the Danish capital. The next edition of the show will take place from August 5 to 7, coinciding with Copenhagen Fashion Week spring/summer 2026, which will be held from August 4 to 8.

"Ciff is not just a show, it is an ecosystem where talents can grow, connect and project themselves in the long term," stressed Sofie Dolva, CEO of the show. "We are proud to formalize this collaboration in support of emerging Nordic talent," she added.

For this edition, the Cphfw Newtalent program includes established designers such as Anne Sofie Madsen, as well as the return of Bonnetje and Berner Kühl in their second and third participation, respectively. In addition, new additions are added under the One to Watch category, which introduces Kettel Atelier, Stem and Taus, three young brands seeking to position their vision for the spring/summer 2026 season.

Through this alliance, both institutions aim to build a bridge between institutional visibility and real business opportunities. The Cphfw Newtalent showroom, managed in partnership with Ciff, will become one of the main focal points for buyers and international press during the next edition of fashion week. Beyond the event, the shared goal is to consolidate a permanent structure that projects emerging Nordic design beyond its borders.
