Stéphane Rolland Set for Spanish Debut at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week
French couturier, a distinguished member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, is set to make his debut on the Spanish runway with an exclusive showcase at the Barcelona Bridal Night 2026, featuring eighty original designs and a unique collaboration with emerging fashion students.
Parisian Haute Couture is set to make a grand entrance at Montjuïc as the illustrious couturier Stéphane Rolland, a distinguished member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, takes center stage at the Barcelona Bridal Night 2026. This milestone event marks Rolland’s inaugural showcase in Spain, intertwining a rich blend of retrospective elegance, fresh creations, and budding talent.
Parisian Haute Couture will land on Montjuïc. The couturier Stéphane Rolland, member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture French, will be the protagonist of the tenth edition of the Barcelona Bridal Night, the gala parade of the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (Bbfw). It will be the first time that the designer presents his work in Spain, in a show that will combine retrospective, unpublished creation and emerging talent.
The event, organized by Fira de Barcelona, will be held in April 2026 at the Montjuïc exhibition center and will coincide with the world capital of architecture that the city will hold next year. Rolland will present a total of eighty haute couture creations, divided equally between his bridal line and his gala and red carpet proposals. Twenty of them, moreover, will be made specifically for the occasion.
“Barcelona is a city that shares with Haute Couture the value of form, volume and artistic expression; my dresses are emotional architectures,“ said the French designer, who defines the event as an opportunity to celebrate fashion as an art form.
Albasari Caro, director of the event, stressed that the presence of Stéphane Rolland as international guest of honor “marks a milestone that reflects the commitment to excellence and confirms Barcelona as a global epicenter of design and Haute Couture”.
Stéphane Rolland will be the star designer at Barcelona Bridal Night 2026.
At the initiative of the maison, the fashion show will incorporate the participation of 24 students from three Barcelona fashion design schools: IED, Esdi and LCI Barcelona. For this, the students will work for six months in collaboration with the designer’s team to make their own pieces, made with fabrics donated by Gratacós. These creations will open the catwalk before Rolland’s proposals.
“It is essential to encourage creativity among young people and offer them opportunities to stimulate their talent,“ said the designer in a statement. Along the same lines, Caro explained that the bridal event is committed “to giving visibility and opportunities to new talents, because supporting young designers means guaranteeing the constant renewal of the sector”.
The Barcelona Bridal Night will be held on April 22 at Palau 8 of the Montjuïc venue, an art deco style building with expressionist influences built for the 1929 International Exposition. The choice of space aims to reinforce the connection between fashion, architecture and cultural heritage.
The French designer thus joins the list of big names on the international fashion scene who have starred at the gala in recent years, such as the British Vivienne Westwood, the Italian Giambattista Valli, the Dutch Viktor & Rolf or the Lebanese Elie Saab.
The gala fashion show will take place at the Montjuïc venue on April 22nd.
With a career that combines technical precision and artistic sensibility, Stéphane Rolland founded his maison in 2007 after having worked at Balenciaga and Jean-Louis Scherrer, where he became the youngest artistic director of Avenue Montaigne. His vision draws from sculpture and architecture, transforming fabrics into volumes that seem to move with the body.
Among the celebrities who wear his designs are Lady Gaga, Céline Dion, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Paz Vega or Nieves Alvarez, muse of the creator. Throughout his career, Rolland has consolidated his own language characterized by theatrical and structured pieces that contemplate fashion as a form of artistic expression.
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, organized by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Departament d’Empresa i Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya, will hold its next edition from April 22 to 26, 2026 at the Montjuïc venue. The show expects to bring together more than 400 brands and around forty designers on the catwalk.
