Roberto Cavalli, Skims and the 90’s take Ibiza

The Italian luxury brand bets on the island with its new store in Ibiza Gallery, a year after its first opening on the island. They will be the only boutiques to host its latest collaboration with the Skims brand in Spain.

Roberto Cavalli expands in the heart of Ibiza, the new luxury destination. The animal print takes over the new boutique of the Italian firm in the Ibiza Gallery shopping center, promoted by Grupo Empresas Matutes in front of the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza.

Together with its first store on the island, they are the only points of sale in Spain where the articles of its latest collaboration with the American brand Skims, founded by the entrepreneur and influencer Kim Kardashian, are marketed.

This exclusive line redefines swimwear fashion with exotic animal prints, daring cuts and fabrics that enhance the curves, as the firm has communicated through its social networks.

“Ibiza is a global crossroads of creativity, energy and expression,“ said Sergio Azzolari, CEO of Roberto Cavalli, on the occasion of the launch of the new store. “With this second opening, we are not only expanding; we are consolidating Roberto Cavalli’s vision in a place that reflects its spirit,“ he continued, celebrating the dynamism of the space.

The Ibiza Gallery luxury shopping center, promoted by Grupo Empresas Matutes, is located in front of the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, in Platja d’en Bossa, and has 2,152 square foot and a striking L-shaped glass façade that extends 33 feet and rises another 25 feet.

The company opened the doors to its first store in Ibiza just over a year ago, in a 1,500-square-foot store located on Passeig Joan Carles I, with a unique 65-feet circular window display. The store features ready-to-wear collections for women and men, as well as accessories, perfumes, optics and the Italian brand’s couture collection.

Roberto Cavalli, whose founder passed away in April last year, embarked on its return to retail in the Spanish market in 2022 with its first store in the country. The company chose another tourist destination, Puerto Banús, replicating in the establishment its store in Saint Tropez (France) or Milan (Italy), which also have a cafeteria inside.

The fever for Ibiza has spread this year throughout the fashion industry. Other luxury brands such as Burberry also announced this week its arrival on the island in collaboration with The Standard, transforming its rooftop with its iconic print and a pop up of products, garments and limited edition accessories.
