Thom Browne Announces Sam Lobban as New Chief Executive Officer
Lobban, who previously served as executive vice president and general manager of apparel & designer at Nordstrom, will take his talents to the US company this September. His professional journey includes notable positions at Selfridges and Mr Porter.
Thom Browne changes captain. The American fashion company, owned by the Zegna group, has signed Sam Lobban, from Nordstrom, as its new CEO. He will thus succeed Rodrigo Bazan, who had held the position since 2016.
Until joining Thom Browne, Lobban was executive vice president and general manager of Nordstrom’s apparel & designer division. Previously, he worked for companies such as London department store Selfridges, and Mr.Porter.
In a statement, Thom Browne thanked Rodrigo Bazan for the work done, and noted that during his tenure the company achieved “sales of €315 million, with 116 stores worldwide”.

In fact, according to the company, under Bazan’s leadership, sales have almost tripled. “We thank him for laying the foundation for our future growth,“ says Zegna group CEO Gildo Zegna.
According to the latest available data, Thom Browne ended the first quarter of FY2025 with sales down 18.6% to €64.38 million.
Overall, the Ermenegildo Zegna group ended the period with a 0.9% drop in turnover, with sales standing at €458.82 million at the end of the first quarter of the year.
