MyTheresa expands its offer: launches menswear

Mytheresa expands its offer. The German luxury online retailer will launch its menswear in January 27. The ecommerce platform will offer approximately 120 brands like Prada, Gucci, Loewe, Bottega Veneta, amongst others.

The company will become the only online luxury retailer that offers women, men and kids on a single website, as stated the company in a press release. Its rival the Yoox Net-a-Porter group, has different platforms for each offer, Net-a-Porter for women and kids and Mr. Porter for men. To tackle its menswear strategy, Mytheresa has recently opened 2,000 square meters creative studio in Milan dedicated to menswear styling and photography.

“We will apply our very successful DNA of curation, shopping efficiency and creative content to menswear at a moment when the market is undergoing a clear change; we believe our offer of a more elevated interpretation of menswear in a post-streetwear,” stated Michael Klinger, chief executive officer and president of Mytheresa.

Mytheresa was founded in 2006 in Munich. The ecommerce platform specializes in selling ready-to-wear, shoes, bags and accessories for women, men and kids. In its fiscal year 2019, Mytheresa reported net sales of 377 million euros and shipped orders to around 140 countries.
