Inditex continues with the international expansion of its young fashion chain and lands in Manchester, with a flagship store featuring augmented reality technology. Located in the Trafford Centre shopping center, the store has 12,916.6 square foot.

The store is divided into three separate zones, each dedicated to one of the retailer’s main lines - Bershka, BSK and Man. The design concept attempts to align the interior with the brand’s global store format, already used in other locations around the world. In addition, each zone has its own separate entrance.

Bershka has introduced augmented reality tools only available in this flagship and for a limited time. With the aim of offering an interactive experience, the group has installed mirrors that allow shoppers to virtually try on garments using filters developed by the brand by technology studio Ffface.me and social media platform Snapchat. By scanning a QR code, customers can access the digital fitting room through the app.

Bershka Music Project will also be present in its flagship store. The project, which the brand launched in March last year in order to promote emerging talent in the world of music, has partnered with independent radio station NTS, and will act as the store’s music curator. In addition, the launch was streamed live on Bershka’s digital platform and supported by NTS.

Over the last year, the Inditex group has expanded its network of stores belonging to the Bershka chain in the international market, with openings in Venezuela, Sweden, Italy, Paraguay and India, and now the United Kingdom. Zara also landed in Venezuela last year with its largest store in Latin America, with a 53,820 square foot flagship store located in the Chacao shopping center in Caracas.

Inditex closed the first quarter of 2025 with sales up only 1.5%, to €8.27 billion, and increased its net profit by 0.3%, to €1.30 billion, compared to the same quarter of 2024. This growth is lower than in the previous year, when the world’s leading fashion retailer increased its sales by 7.5% and its profit by 9%.
