Eurozone reduces speed and grows 0.2% in the second quarter

Year-on-year the eurozone economy rised 1.1% according to the last data published today by the European Statistics Office, Eurostat.

Eurozone reduce its speed and grows 0.2% in the second quarter

 

 

Economy in the eurozone cools down. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the eurozone continues on the low after it registered a growth of only 0.2% during the second quarter of the year, compared to the 0.4% in the fist quarter.  

 

Year-on-year, the eurozone economy grew between April and June 1.1%, two pointers less than the start of the year. As for the European Union, the growth was 0.2% compared to the previous month and 1.1% compared to the previous year.

 

Spain continues to be one of the countries with the biggest rise in Europe, with a rise of 0.5% in its GDP. However, the rise is slower than the one registered on the fist quarter, when it grew 0.7%.

 

Denmark is other of the countries that more grows in the region, with a growth of 0.8% compared to the same period last year. Italy is stuck and France has grown a light 0.2%.
