Change of stage in Tous. Nine months after the founding family has recovered one hundred percent of the company, the Spanish jewelry company renews its leadership with the departure of the one who was, until now, its CEO. Carlos Soler-Duffo will leave the company imminently after seven years in the position.

According to La Vanguardia and confirmed by Tous, the departure has been agreed by the ownership of the company based in Manresa (Barcelona). The name of Carlos Soler-Duffo’s successor is expected to be known in the next few days.

“At Tous we have begun a stage of transition towards a new leadership. After more than a decade in the company, and seven years at the helm as CEO, Carlos Soler-Duffo closes a stage of transformation, which has consolidated the brand as a global leader in affordable luxury jewelry,“ the company said.

Carlos Soler-Duffo has held the position of CEO of Tous since 2019, a position he took over from José María Folache. Leading the company’s management alongside Alba Tous, president of the company and daughter of the founders, Soler-Duffo came to the front line at Tous after seven years as commercial director. He had previously worked in other companies in the sector, such as Punt Roma.

In his seven years as CEO, Soler-Duffo has driven the company’s international growth and has managed crises such as the one derived from the Covid-19 pandemic or the exit from Russia after the outbreak of war in Ukraine and movements such as the reorganization of Tous’ capital, with the exit of Partners Capital at the end of 2024.

Tous, which in 2024 introduced a new strategic plan for the next ten years ended 2024 with a turnover of €523 million, up 9.4%. The company increased its gross operating profit (ebitda) by 6.4% on a like-for-like basis to €114 million.

Last August, the company updated the composition of its board of directors with the departure of two executives with a long track record in the distribution and fashion sector and the incorporation of a financial profile. Martin Brok and Patricia Sancho have left the company’s top management body, which they joined in mid-2023. Economist Adolf Todó, with a long career in the financial sector, joins the board.
