Interparfums Shifts Focus: Rochas to End Ready-to-Wear and Embrace Fragrances
The Paris-based perfume giant announces the shutdown of its fashion division, which it has overseen for ten years, after reporting a 5.8% boost in sales.
Interparfums says goodbye to Rochas fashion.The French group, one of the world’s largest perfumery manufacturers, has announced the cessation of the ready-to-wear activity of Rochas, the Parisian firm it had managed since 2015, and with which it debuted creative director Alessandro Vigilante in 2024, after closing the first half of the current financial year with sales of €446.9 million, up 5.8% on the first six months of 2024.
Interparfums, a licensed perfume specialist, wants to “refocus exclusively on its core business: the development and distribution of perfumes and cosmetics,“ the company says.
Phillipe Bénacin, CEO of the company, has expressed his gratitude to the group’s creative director, Alessando Vigilante, “who over the past two years as artistic director has been able to magnificently express the DNA of this house,“ explained Bénacin.

Interpafums took over Rochas in 2015, previously owned by multinational Procter&Gamble, in a $108 million deal with the aim of growing in the luxury segment. Rochas has been one of the group’s three mid-sized brands alongside Karl Lagerfeld and Boucheron.
The perfumery group closed the first half of FY2025 with sales of €446.9 million, representing growth of 5.8% compared to the same period last year. At constant exchange rates, the increase was 6.1%.
In parallel with the results, Interparfums announced the signing of a licensing agreement with Longchamp until December 2036. The first launch under this alliance is scheduled for 2027.
