Aeffe Group Posts First-Half Losses with 27% Decline in Sales
Marco Gobbetti joins Aeffe’s board, succeeding Roberto Lugano amid a leadership change. The Italian group experiences a 40.58% decrease in its six-month financial results.
Aeffe Group returns to losses. The Italian fashion group closed the first six months of the year with losses of €28.32 million. This is a 40.58% lower result compared to the same period of 2024, when it also recorded losses of €20.14 million.
The Italian group, owner of Moschino, Alberta Ferreti, Philosophy and Pollini closes the first half with sales of €102.8 million, down 27.55% compared to the same period of 2024, with revenues of €141.89 million, the company said.
Its gross operating profit (ebitda) also suffered in the first half, recording a negative figure of €11.24 million, far from the positive results of €419,000 in the first six months of 2024.
In this context, the Italian group has announced the resignation of Roberto Lugano as director. He will be replaced by Marco Gobbetti, who was CEO of Moschino earlier in his career. Gobbetti was also CEO of Givenchy and Celine of the LVMH group, and later served as CEO of Burberry. His last position was CEO and managing director at Ferragamo.

Massimo Ferretti, CEO of Aeffe Spa, has pointed to the luxury crisis to justify the results. He also understands that the global geopolitical situation and uncertainty are hurting this type of business. He expects 2025 to be “a year of transition” in which to work on its recovery, “especially for the Moschino brand.“
In this context, Aeffe Group announces a cost-cutting strategy for 2026, which includes both direct and labor costs and will also involve a review of the number of company stores.
Italy remains the main market, although it has lost prominence, with a 31.3% drop in sales, from 57.6 million in the middle of last year to 39.57 million in the same period this year. Europe (excluding Italy), which sold €32 million, down 24%.
In third place came Asia and the rest of the world (excluding America), which posted sales of €22.5 million, down 28.2%. Lastly, the American region, with sales of €5.9 million, down 21.1%.
By channel, both retail, wholesale and royalties lost weight in the first half of the year. Retail decreased by 18.75%, wholesale by 26.66% and royalties by 69.36%.
