Medellin, one of the main poles of the fashion industry in Colombia and Latin America, will be the stage where a format with more than thirteen editions in Europe will land, Colombia Fashion Summit, an event born with the aim of redefining the conversation about fashion business in the region and projecting a global view. The meeting will be held on September 25, 2025 at the Colegio La Enseñanza and will bring together more than 350 entrepreneurs, managers and international experts to analyze the transformations of the sector and design strategies to boost its competitiveness and sustainability.

Colombia Fashion Summit responds to Inexmoda’s strategy to raise the standards of knowledge and generate spaces comparable to those of the great capitals of the world. The inspiration came from the Barcelona Fashion Summit, one of the most influential meetings in Europe, and from that reference the alliance with Modaes was established to bring to Colombia an event with economic impact, international projection and the ability to promote new opportunities for brands.

“Colombia Fashion Summit represents our vision of building a stronger industry, internationalized and connected to the great challenges of the world. We want Medellin to project itself not only as the capital of Latin American fashion, but also as a hub that attracts investment, talent and opportunities to transform the way we understand fashion through sustainability, innovation and technology. This is the opportunity to inspire us, challenge us to think differently and open up new possibilities for expansion and growth,“ says Sebastián Díez, executive president of Inexmoda.

“In an industry in constant transformation as the fashion industry and in a macroeconomic moment as convulsive as the current one, being connected with the main players in the sector and knowing what they are doing and what the main companies in the world think is key,“ says Pilar Riaño, founder of Modaes. “This is why the implementation of the Barcelona Fashion Summit in Colombia could not take place at a better time: industry players must share in order to improve and continue to compete in an increasingly global context,“ she adds.

The event will take as its starting point the major transformations facing the fashion business globally, such as sustainability, digital transformation, conscious consumption and international expansion. These topics will be developed in a day that integrates keynote lectures, panel discussions and networking spaces under the concept Horizon 2030, the to do’s of fashion in a global world, with a program that will address. how to choose markets for growth, how to seduce in saturated environments, which are the ways to turn sustainability from an added value to become the norm, and how to communicate effectively in a hypercompetitive industry.

“This is the time for business leaders to anticipate changes, evolve their business models and bet on internationalization. We want knowledge to become the driving force behind strategic decisions and for conversations to be born from Medellin that will mark the course of fashion in Latin America,“ says the executive president of Inexmoda.

The agenda will include the participation of leaders and referents who will provide their strategic vision on the present and future of the sector.
