Asics

Asics

Asics was founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka in Kobe (Japan), initially dedicated to the manufacture of footwear for basketball practice and under the name Onitsuka Company. In 1977, Onitsuka changed its name to Asics, in homage to the Latin expression Anima Sana In Corpore Sano. The company, one of the world's highest grossing sports companies, now operates under its namesake brand and Onitsuka Tiger.
