The century-old Estée Lauder was founded in 1908 by Josephine Esther Mentzer and her husband, Joseph Lauder. The group, which ranks second in terms of turnover in the beauty products sector, markets its products in 150 countries and territories, mainly through the multi-brand channel. In addition to its main brand, the company also owns MAC and Joe Malone.

The beauty conglomerate is set to diversify its geographical reach amid softening consumer demand in the US and China, aiming to expand its market share, rejuvenate its brand, and attract a broader audience base.
