United States delays tariff rise for some Chinese imports until December

Donald Trump continues to add instability in the fashion trade war. The American government released a statement that states that some of the tariff rises planed for September will be delayed for the end of this year. The rise continues to be established in 10%.

However, the categories that will be affected weren’t released, despite the date for the new tariff rise is set for the 1^st of September. Other products that will be affected are cell phone, laptops, video games and computer monitors, amongst others.

Trump’s administration has also said that al the items related with health, security and national safety will be eliminated from the list.

 Last June, main companies in the sector in United States addressed Trump to ask him to stop raising tariffs in the imports manufactured in China. The petition arrived to the White House through the American Apparel&Footwear Association (Aafa), and counted with the signature of groups like Ralph Lauren, PVH, VF Corp, Tapestry, Global Brands, Gap or Levi Strauss.
