Textile labelling association Ginetex names new president
Adam Mansell, chief executive of the UK Fashion&Textiles Association, has been named new president of the International Association for Textile Care Labeling. Spanish executive Alejandro Laquidain will be vice-president.
Changes at the helm of the international textile labelling association. Adam Mansell, chief executive of the UK Fashion&Textiles Association, has been appointed new president of the International Association for Textile Care Labelling (Ginetex).
Alejandro Laquidain, member of the Spanish association CIE, will take on as vice-president. Changes will be effective next 2020. Founded in Paris in 1963, Ginetex has devised an internationally applicable care labelling systems for textiles based on symbols.
The pictograms used are registered trademarks in most countries and are the property of Ginetex. The association relies on 22 national members in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.
