Fashion sales suffer the biggest drop in the United Kingdom in five years. The turnover in clothing and footwear fell by 4.5% in May, ballasted by cold temperatures that were recorded in the country. It is the lowest record since July 2015.

 
Retail sales fell 0.5% in relation to the fall of 0.1% in April, according to the Retail Sales Index of the National Statistical Office of the United Kingdom. On the other hand, the sales in the British department stores between March and May have suffered a drop of 0.9%.
 
According to BRC-KPMG Retail Sales Monitor, the political and economic uncertainty that is immersed in the country as a result of Brexit is affecting the confidence of consumers and companies.
