Fashion sales in Italy slows down. Apparel and leather goods in the country increased 1.5% in July, compared to the same month in 2018. The rise is more moderated than the one registered in June, when it arrived at 2.3%.

Footwear, leather and travel goods sales rose 6.1% in July, while perfume and personal care rose 2.4% and jewelry, toys and sportswear increased 1.3%.
Fashion escapes from the brake of the retail trade in the country, that dropped 0.5% in July, according to the last data published by the Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (Istat).
