Tod’s renovates its helm with new creative director
The Italian luxury group has appointed Walter Chiapponi as new creative director. The executive has experience in the sector after having worked for groups like Gucci or Valentino.

Tod’s renews its design team. The Italian luxury group, also owner of the Hogan brands, Roger Vivier and Fay, has renewed its creative direction with the incorporation of designer Walter Chiapponi.
The creative, who replaces Alessandra Facchinetti and Andrea Incontri, will be in charge of Tod’s collections of the male and female division. Chiapponi has a long experience in the sector after having worked for fashion groups like Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta.

“Walter Chiapponi is a talented Italian creative who knows and is able to combine Tod’s Italian lifestyle with a touch of modernity, without ever losing sight of the high quality and craftsmanship that represents the brand’s DNA,” stated the group’s president Diego Della Valle.
Tod’s closed the first quarter of the year with sales for 216.4 million euros, 4.3% less than the same period last year. Roger Vivier increased 16.1% in the first three months, up to 43.9 million euros.
