Superdry reinforces its board. The British fashion company has announced the signing of two new independent directors for its board of directors, Helen Weir and Alastair Miller. Weir will assume the position of senior independent director, while Miller will serve as chair of the audit committee.
The last position of Helen Weir prior to her incorporation was as CFO at Marks & Spencer for three years. Before his time in the British company, Weir held the same position at John Lewis. Alastair Miller, for his part, worked as financial director of New Look for fourteen years, until 2014.
Superdry closed its fiscal year 2018 with a 3.6% increase in its turnover, reaching 1,736.1 million pounds (2,020 million euros). The British fashion company, in full transformation after the return of its founder Julian Dunkerton, closed 2018 with 734 stores.
