Prada tries new store concept in China. The Italian luxury company has opened a new store in SKP department store in Beijing, China, one of the largest department stores in the country with more than 180,000 square meters.

 

The store has 122 square meters and its design was created in partnership with Selfridges. The concept, called Prada Escape, and was inspired by travel and outdoors. Prada store will have the entire offer of the company, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear and accessories collections.

 

 

 

 

State-owned SKP Beijing, is a department store that aims that Chinese shoppers buy more luxury in their local market. It has an offer of more than 1000 brands as well as an extended offer of food and cinema. The chain has another subsidiary in Xiang.

 

The department store is located in Chaoyand district and it is part of China’s new approach for shopping malls, that offers art space for new artists to present their work while people are going through the shops.

 

The Italian luxury group ended the first half of its fiscal year 2019 with a net benefit of 155 million euros (172.5 million dollars), up 56.6% year-on-year, compared to the 99 million euros (119 million dollars) of 2018.
