Inditex renews agreement with IndustriAll for the supervision of its factories

Inditex renews agreement with IndustriAll. The Spanish fashion giant, number one in the world by revenue, will renew on November 13 the Global Framework Agreement with the organization to ensure the rights of workers in their factories.

Specifically, with this agreement, the company will guarantee fair work to the more than 2.5 million people it employs in the 7,000 production plants where the group manufactures its products. “The second renewal of the Global Framework Agreement confirms that two decades of work have paid off and that there are still many tasks pending,” the organization said in a statement.

Both groups signed the first pact in 2007 after meeting with suppliers. In 2014, Inditex renewed the agreement with IndustriAll at the headquarters of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva (Switzerland).

Inditex was the pioneer in signing the agreement with the global organization with the goal of protecting the interest of its workers. Mango, Esprit, H&M or PVH have been some of the companies that have gone behind the Spanish giant and have allied with IndustriAll.
