Guess names Carlos Alberini new CEO
The Spanish manager will leave the Company on the next February 2. The new prime executive was Chief Operating Officer of the company between 2000 and 2010.
Replacement in one of the largest denim retailers. The US group Guess announced the departure from its headquarters of the Spanish Victor Herrero, who occupied the position of CEO since 2015. Herrero, trained at Inditex talent team, has led the company in a period in which the business in the United States has been weakened.
As he company reported, Herrero will leave office next February 2, and will be replaced by Carlos Alberini. The new prime executive of Guess worked in the company as Chief Operating Officer between 2000 and 2010, when he joined Restoration Hardware and, afterwards, Lucky Brand.
The last few months of Herrero’s mandate have been marked by allegations of harassment against one of the founders, Paul Marciano. The company informed that, at the request of the board, Marciano will take the post of CEO as a temporary measure, until the incorporation of Alberini.
The US company closed the first nine months of the fiscal year with net losses valued in 9.13 million dollars, compared to 8.9 million dollars in losses from the previous year. The revenue of the company, on its behalf, grew by 12.6%, to 1.71 billion dollars.
