EssilorLuxottica on the rise. The eyewear giant has ended the last fiscal year with a growth of 6.8% and an increase in profit of 6.2%. The revenue has been mostly boosted by the North American market, contact lenses, and optical instruments.

 

The company has recorded a revenue of 17.4 billion euros (19.4 million dollars), in comparison to the previous year where it recorded 16.2 billion euros (18 billion dollars). Its profit also experienced an increase, from 10.2 billion dollars (11.4 billion dollars) to 10.9 billion euros (12.2 billion dollars) in 2019.

 

By region, EssilorLuxottica evolves because of the North American market, with a volume of sales of 9.2 billlion euros (10.3 billion dollars). The second market is Europe, with a revenue of 4.2 billion euros (4.7 billion dollars) and other such as Asia, Oceania and Africa, recorded a total of 2.9 billion euros (3.2 billion dollars).

 

 

 

 

The line of products that generated the most revenue are contact lenses and optical instruments with 6.8 billion euros (7.5 billion dollars) in sales. Sunglasses and reading glasses grew by 13%, tallying a revenue of 885 million euros (989 million dollars), followed by the equipment division, with 221 million euros (244 million dollars).

 

Retail division of the company reached rales that were double the amount of multibrand stores, withs sales of 6.2 billion euros (6.9 billion dollars) in that period. Wholesale recorded sales of 3.3 billion euros (3.7 billion dollars) in total.
