Barcelona Fashion Summit celebrates its seventh edition on February 2019

Barcelona Fashion Summit confirms date and venue for upcoming edition. The largest gathering for fashion industry professionals in Southern Europe will take place on February 5, 2019, at Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. Last year, the event gathered more than 850 executives from the whole industry.

Organized by trade newspaper Modaes.es with the support of Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya, Barcelona Fashion Summit aims to emphasize the importance of the fashion industry in the region, create an environment for knowledge and spark debates around the major challenges that the industry is facing.

Throughout the last six years, Barcelona Fashion Summit has become one of the largest fashion business gatherings in Europe, reuniting senior management representatives from the business, academics and consultancy spheres.

Barcelona Fashion Summit will take place on February 5, 2019

Last year, the event revolved around the need for a reset amidst the transformation that the business is going through on a global scale due to uncertainty. On that occasion, Barcelona Fashion Summit was attended by representatives from Inditex, Mango, Tendam and Alibaba, among others. Besides, the programme also included speakers from investment firm The Carlyle Group and think tank Real Instituto Elcano.

Barcelona Fashion Summit has gained size with each new edition. From the 300 executives that joined the first call, last year the event reunited over 850 people. Every year, the gathering addressed a different topic, such as long-term growth strategies and financing tools or business digitalization and ecommerce, among others.
